Thurs. evening in each month? We are a very open, friendly group and are all in
the business of learning more about birds and enjoying ourselves in the
process.
Our evening usually starts
with a free-for all, with everyone chipping in whatever interesting things they
have seen. There is a main speaker – the topics varying throughout the year. A
sociable cup of tea is then followed by questions to the speaker and we often
finish the evening with a very basic look at some images of species that we are
possibly going to be watching locally.
There is a series of Sun.
day-trips (following each Thurs.) by car or sometimes bus to good birding
areas. Once a year we extend this to a weekend away. Our members have many
varied interests including photography, rarity-finding, conservation work and
work on specific species. To be honest though, most folk just enjoy the
company.
